PENRITH HIGH SCHOOL REUNION - WELCOME TO OUR BLOG

Wow - I think it safe to say we had a blast! What a great group of people and thank you to all those who made the effort to come - and if you weren't able to, hopefully you can still get some laughs out of these photos (although for some I think you had to be there!!!)

We hope you have as much fun reading this as we have in putting it together - we hope you'll add comments and send us photos to upload, so that it becomes a great memory for all of us.

We started in 2005 when Cheryl Clarke (Flak) decided life was too short and she wanted to make contact with everyone she went to school with.

After our first coffee meeting we decided we needed something stronger and we've been meeting at the pub or club every two months since!

Cheryl wanted to organise a full-on reunion, but as she got sicker, that went on the backburner - we have decided to organise one for her and just luckily it fits with the final year any of us went to school (but unluckily she won't be here to enjoy it).

It's now been 12 years since our last reunion, so we hope that's long enough to pique everyone's interest..... come along and have some fun.

Thanks girls, it was a great night. You know I walked up the stairs andthought you invited some old teachers to the reunion, but then I realized,“HAY” they are the kids I went to school with. Looking forward for thenext one, if it was left up to the boys it would never happen. If youcan’t remember me I’m in the second photo red shirt. Cheers Jan Rozema

Just checked out the blog. Oh what a night alright. It was a great, great night. I’d like to thank you & the other girls for organising everything. Cheryl would be proud! I took a 127 photos so I’ll burn onto a disc to pass on to you but might send a few choice photos now. It’s gunna take me a week to get over the sleep deprivation but it was worth it. Chris

Thank you all for coming - I have had such fun in putting the blog together - the others have done all the hard work contacting and ringing around, organising the banking and the club etc - I chose the 'showy' job!!!! - not much changes, does it? I think I told everyone at work about our 30 year reunion.
Prior to 1996 I didn’t think our year was the type of year to have a reunion.
The 20 year reunion wiped away any thoughts of that kind.

Thanks to Cheryl’s idea and those involved in making contact and arranging a wonderful night.

We must send the group photo to Penrith High for their records.
This is what High School is all about, to get over a Hundred to a 30 year reunion says so much for our year and the friendships made.

A suggestion for the 40th …. a venue with ground floor ramp access.
See you all in 2018 …that sounds frightening.

G'day,
I was feeling reminiscent and looked up a couple of names from my past and came across this....don't know if anyone remembers me, but I sure as heck remember some of you! I left Penrith in the middle of 1st form, and went to primary school at South Penrith. My maiden name was Smith.

Hey Genelle - are you serious!!!!! you lived up the road from me on Castlereagh St and we knew your mum as Aunty Robyn and dad as Uncle Fred... I often wonder what happened to you and would love to keep in touch..... we are having a 'birthday' get together at Penrith Panthers on 30 July if you live anywhere close enough to come!
